Update: Making a full page design

I am finally satisfied with my design for the last page of the scene.
I began with some designs that looked good as a sketch, but when I started with the line-art failed for different reasons. For example this design was in balance as a sketch. But when I started with the line art I lost the balance in the design:

Update: The return of Joe

I finished the page were I let my other main character Joe Bennington return from his fall in the last story. He will wake up at the bottom of the Insomnia:

Update: Bringing back a character

In my previous comic my main character was Joe Bennington. At the end of the first part of my new comic I wanted him to return. And because the two stories are continuous I didn't have to change much to the design of the character:

At the end of my first comic Joe fell down from a exploding zeppelin into the unknown. And now I want to continue his story in little snippets while mainly following Olivia:

                  

The special thing about Joe is that he is a daydreamer. In my story it is a special gift to be a daydreamer because I am one myself.
A daydreamer is a person that can connect at the real world and the dream world at the same time. Because your never fully present in both.
I use this to show the big difference between Olivia and Joe. Because Olivia is a lucid dreamer, what means that she is always aware of herself dreaming. Therefore many lucid dreamers can alter and manipulate their dreams.

Update: Coloring some pages

The last few days I started with coloring of the pages that have finished lineart. Many times after I started coloring a page I have a hard time with the previously made line art. While giving my line art designs color I find many flaws in the illustration that make me go back redoing the line art.

Update: Cover + First page

I wanted to share my new version of the cover with you. And what I almost sure about is going to be the first page in this new story!

Update: The beginning of the action...

This is an action sequence I am working at. The main character Olivia is followed by two dangerous killers while she has to find a letter from a dead friend on the graveyard.

 I really like this page because it gives the comic a feeling of motion. My plan is to put a human skull in the left bottom of the page, just a joke (a reference to the cover of the first comic ).

I do not know where the name Celendriel comes from, I just made it up. The time she lived was exactly she same as I am living now. The story of the comic itself plays out in the year 2057.

I am not satisfied with this page yet. I just wanted that Olivia would get the chance to get the letter. So I just let the killers go back to the forest to look for her... 

 In the last page of this sequence I let Olivia find the letter. I especially like the two shots with the low view angle. 

I think you can find this full scene somewhere in the begin of the final comic. Probably with some changes.
